THE DREAM : I have a recurring dream that I have had maybe once a year for the last 5-10 years. Everytime the people I am with and the environment is different, but the main occurrence in the same with the same feelings. An ATM machine is in an odd place (side of an building where one would not usually be or standing on its own in the middle of nowhere). The person before me has used the machine and it has become jammed with money and receipts and the person before has collected their money and not realised, walking away. I have gone to machine and the feed is jammed open. I pull large amounts of free money through the feed. Usually 50 or 100 dollars notes amounting to thousands of dollars. I then usually run away as fast I can to count and hide the money. In the dream I feel excited about getting free money and it is an exhilarating feeling. I also feel a little bit bad about taking it, knowing that I have done the wrong thing but feeling that the money would really help me out.

THE BACKGROUND:I'm not sure what background information to put here, except that perhaps when I have had this dream I have been concerned about finances or had a large unexpected bill. This may not have always been the case but it is difficult to put background information when the dream has occurred over such a large period of time.

Well your explanation makes sense - having a large bill or problems with your finances would fit.

But just because you get a dream which is the same it does not mean that it has the same meaning ON EACH and EVERY OCCASION.

Take the following dream where a horse is running at great speed. It may have two meanings. It captures excitement and energy and could link to a feeling of exhiliration when you are feeling on top of the world. However,on another day it could link to a situation where things can easily go wrong. Just one slip and there are problems. same dream but different meaning.

When you get the dream next think through the last day and think about recent things on your mind. Most dreams have their meaning on the last few days or recent events or feelings.

Have you definitely had this dream when you had financial worries because if so then thats the most likely meaning on that occasion.
