PERSONALITY DREAMS

The mind is constantly monitoring our behavior. We always try to see how things can be improved. Personality dreams are linked to the questions we ask about our own behaviour. Simply ask yourself if you have been asking yourself the following types of questions:-

I wonder if I could of done that better?

I coped well with that!

I do not seem to be doing as well as I could?

I do not like the way I am behaving!

I have noticed how I seem to have changed - I seem to be a bit more...

Personality dreams are very much about psychology. They show us monitoring our own behavior. They pinpoint changes in our behavior. Just see where you have been asking yourself questions like these then start to see if the dream symbols could have portrayed such thoughts. Here are a few examples.

The following dream took place at a time when the dreamer was particularly tired. The dream symbol drain was probably a play on words - representing his own tiredness. But see how dreams can contain a great deal of information. In the dream there is a problem and its getting out of hand - that simply corresponds to reality as he feels drained and its a problem which in reality was getting out of hand. The dream therefore shows that this problem was needing to be dealt with.

THE DREAM - I am in a house I used to live in. There seems to be some new activity. I am looking at the drains. They are open to view and the waters are moving. It is all open to view. Some new water comes in from below. It gushes up and spills over the top. I am then outside looking at the house. Someone has reported some activity outside. There is excreta on the outside. It has overflowed.

The following dream is another personality dream. He dreams he is a cat person! For him this is a very negative dream. But see how the dream can be asking deep questions. The dreamer is questioning his own behavior. In real life he was a man who disliked people who kept cats. If he was keeping cats then its really a dream about him asking the following question "I am becoming exactly the thing that I despise! The sort of person who keeps cats"! He feels he is developing the very qualities that cat people exhibit.

THE DREAM I Keep getting dreams that I am the sort of person who keeps cats.

The following dream is also a personality dream. In real life we KNOW how the dreamer felt at that time. He had been working with a neighbour on a cause to improve the local community. In the dream he ends up in a place he does not like. That simply follows and mimics reality. In reality he was more a free and easy type of person - a hippie. This new 'cause' did appeal to his own love of causes. He liked campaigning and sticking up for his rights. But his new cause involved just the types of things he did not like - difficult and time consuming administrative work. In reality it caught the following feelings "I liked this new cause but right now I dislike it because it involved just the type of pen pushing and administrative research that I intensely dislike".

THE DREAM - I am on the highway down to Mexico. I visit Mexico in my hippy travels frequently and enjoy it. Then I end up in a dark and dreary miltary camp with Adam (Adam had been helping me with a new cause I was promoting).

The following dream ends up with the dreamers pants falling down. It recreates a situation which happened in reality several years before. His mother often tells him that he is too uptight and needs to lighten up. Obviously this theme was important at the time of the dream.He was telling himself that he needed to lighten up. He was noting his own tendency to take himself too seriously.

THE DREAM I was getting showered and taking a lot of preparation to get ready for some important event, though I'm not quite sure what the important event is; I just know that I need to prepare for it. I put on my underwear, etc., and clothes, and then head out of my bedroom in my apartment. In the living room, I'm surprised to find my mom, my aunt (her sister) and my ex-girlfriend in the room waiting for me.

I ask what they're doing there, and they say they've come to see if I'm ready. My mom asks me a riddle to which I don't know the answer, or never know the answer. And just then, when I give the wrong answer, my belt magically undoes itself, the button to my pants shoots off and the zipper to my pants shoots down; of course, I'm looking down, and I watch as my pants fall immediately to the floor; but what's troubling is, I'm not wearing my usual boxers, but tight, flashy bikini underwear (neon green), and when I look up, highly embarrassed, my mom, aunt and ex are having a good laugh at my expense.

The following dream came at a crucial point in the dreamers life. He had made some meticulous preperations with a business venture. But he lacked the guts to move forward with this project. He was beginning to be aware of this. So if accurately translated the dream means "You have made a lots of preperations but your not willing or able to move forward". Bridges represent such crucial moments where you move forward and cross over.

THE DREAM There is a narrator. He is describing what is happening. There is a large bridge. It traverses a very steep gorge. There are some soldiers at the bottom. They are doing some training. One man is doing some maneuver. He is doing some athletic move. He somehow manages to be catapulted to the top of this bridge. It is expected that he will take hold of the bridge when he gets up there. But instead the narrator says he just comes back down again and dies. Its a huge fall.
