THE DREAM : I cant recall how my dream started I just remember being in the city I lived in over two years ago. I have my 9 month old son with me and I was visiting some old friends all of a sudden I happen to look out the window and there are these awfull dark clouds gathering and tornados start coming down all around. my friends told me their house isnt safe we have to find somewhere safe. we ran out oof the house there were buildings down everywhere I was so scared for my son. people were running everywhere. then my sons father was there running with us. there was a tornado righr behind us I could feel it pulling me in. these two people called us over and told me to bring my baby we could go in their basement. I told my babys father to come with us. we ran in and it was not really abasement it was a small round room looked like it was madefor only two or three people. his father was the last ttto get in he almost didnt fit. we got the door shut just in time. the room we werein shook and rolled it made me think of a large barrel that rolls with the wind. finally it got quiet. the room was ,falling apart we barely made it through in tact. we opened the door and all around us was rubble my heart was beating so hard all I could think about was my baby and making sure he was ok. the sky was still dark people were starting to come back out but more tornados started forming. everyone was running again. I dont know where my sons dad went i lost him in the crowd I was desperate to find somewhere safe for my baby. there was an old man securing himself in a storm drain under the city street I thought that would be a safe place for me to take my son I barely fit in there with him my shoulders and upper torso were still out I could feel the wind and suction from the tornado pulling at my body and pulling at my son I was scared he would be pulled from my arms. I squeezed myself further into the small area so my son was fitted between myself and the wall of the inside of the storm drain. I heard the awfull noises of the wind and things crashing people screaming. I was holding my son close praying for us to make it and thanking god for us finding that small place and praying for all the people still out there. that was the last thing I remember.

THE BACKGROUND:i am a single mother. my sons father and I do not have a good relationship I left when I was 4 months pregnant. im currently unemployed trying to find work. I have been feeling a.little stressed lately trying to make a life for myself and baby also feeling bad I dont have a father for him.

Hi Emmree - I have posted on this site and I read some of the dreams here so today I read yours. I just wanted to share how your dream impacted me as I read it so you get a bit of feedback.

I found your dream a wonderful allegory of what it is like to live your life. It seems the storms of life surround you and threaten to take away the new life you are trying to make for your self and your baby in this dream. The father of your son has already been lost in the crowd.

While I didn't feel comfortable with your dilemma as I read your dream, I was comforted you found the storm drain even though the storms still threatened to pull the baby from your arms.

As I read your dream I asked this question - What do storm drains do? - When I realised they facilitate the drainage of water from storms so other areas in the place where we live are not flooded, it seemed to me you have found a way to drain away the emotions generated by the storms of life that hit you.

If I am right you will know if that is true for you.

As I thought about what you wrote I wondered if prayer was that way for you. I also wondered who was the old man in the drain from your point of view.

I was persaonlly interested that you prayed in your dream because I do that in some of my dreams. I couldn't help but pray for you too so I symbolicaly joined with your prayer in the storm drain. I pray the storms that threaten you don't tear the new life from your arms. I pray God opens your eyes and heart so you can find and see the way you have to go. Blessings to you from Iceberg Rose.

Thanks for sharing your dream - I found it helpful for me too.

hello iceberg rose. I cant tell you how

enlightening your feedback was. I have had

many dreams that leave me wondering, and

with my dream last night it was the first with my

son it. I have always thought about the

interpritation of dreams and finally decided it

was time and having no clue where to start im

glad I started here. after reading your

assimilation of my dream its like a light bulb

turned on. it does seem to be a compilition of

the storms and struggles I have dealt with in this

life, including my sons father being lost. as for

the old man I cant put my finger on who or

what he represents I can tell you I could feel he

didnt want me there but u under the

circumstances I think he knew he didnt have a

choice but to share his little shelter with me.

thank you again, reading your response brought

alot of emotion I hadn't yet discovered that was

attached to my dream. looking forward to

sharing the next one

Dreams capture te reality of your emotions. So this is showing how you FEEL about life... stressed so much that it feels like an emotional storms.

The dream just shows your priority - you say this "all I could think about was my baby and making sure he was ok".

It shows that you love him dearly and want the best for him... to find the safest and best place to bring him up.
