DREAM FORUM - Growing Native Americans and horses
POSTED April 21, 2012, 12:06 by robertajost (Viewed 376 times)

THE DREAM : I have always had crazy dreams as if I were watching a scene unfold. But the other night I dreamed that there was some kind of festival or gathering and people were watching something. There was something like a colosseum, and some people were gathered around the top. There was some dark murky water in the bottom of the structure. Several Native Americans dove into the water, along with their horses and emerged at the other end. As they rose out of the water, they grew, and grew, and grew until they were as tall as the sides of the colosseum and the people at the top looking down at them were now looking up because they were so huge. I found one looking down at me. He looked like he had a smeared white face and almost looked as if he had frost all over him. He seemed to be trying to compel me to look at him but I couldn't look him in the eyes. That was when I work up. For some reason this dream has bothered me and I almost feel haunted by it.

I wasn't thinging about Native Americans

and as far as I know I am not of native

American descent. I really found this

particular dream disturbing. There was

something menecing about the way the

Indian was compelling me to look at him.

And I found myself looking down,

fighting the urge to look at him.

I once had a Native American dream and it was not about them it was about by own interest in dreams. Dreams will associate with something. So if you have a dream about Native Americans then the dream will actually be about what native americans mean to you... and to me they are symbols of a more natural way of thinking. They were linked to my interest in dreams ... Native Americans had a more intuitive way of thinking. So my dream was about my interest in dreams and intuitive thinking.

Actually native americans could symbolise a natural lifestyle, interest in psychic worlds. A native american is also very poor - yet rich in other other ways. It could be a symbol for the battle between seeking material goods and seeking a better happier lifestyle based less upon wealth.

Many dreams are in the here and now so try to think what could have caused this dream in the day before? Many dreams are about slight changes in your thinking... moments when you have sightly changed your thoughts or emotions. Maybe someone said something to you to shift your views on native americans and the native american way of thinking (versus a more tradition way of thinking)

Only you can make such connections.

hmmm. I don't recall anyone talking

about Native Americans or any references

to them. I've always had the utmost

respect for them and what they've had to

go through, even to this day. I

have had a slight interest in their

traditional forklore however, I've never

researched much of it and have also had

interests in Irish and Norse folklore.

In the dream I don't believe I was

afraid of them, I just could not bring

myself to look into his eyes. Perhaps I

was afraid of disapproval. Thank you for

your reply.

"I just could not bring myself to look into his eyes."

Think about this statement and think about the day before. Does that quote make any sense regards any feelings you felt the day before the dream

DREAM INTERPRETATION PROGRAM: When you post a dream a list of symbols will appear here. They will help you work out what has caused your dream. The following dream symbols all appear in THIS DREAM.

People in dreams

HORSES: Often symbols in dreams are directly translated into words in an ordinary dictionary. In the case of horses the dream symbol is linked with the words excitement, exhiliration and risk taking. To understand a dream then you simply see how such words appear in your thoughts right now For instance, if you were thinking "With my new job life will become much more exciting" then a horse in your dream could be a symbol for that new excitement. Dreams can deal with themes and opposites so excitement and risk taking are linked to their opposites dullness and caution. So any dream with a horse could be about assesments about risk taking versus the need for caution. Dreams are often about slight adjustments in our strategies - should we be slightly more cautious? Or should we live dangerously.

Horses in dreams

Dreams represent our deep thoughts and feelings. They are metaphors. They use symbols to compare real life to various memories from the past. We use our experience to make sense of the present.
