DREAM FORUM - Shopping for Socks in Kansas
POSTED August 11, 2012, 07:06 by Blibetyblabla (Viewed 297 times)

THE DREAM : I was in a shop that's in Marbella - but in the dream it was in Kansas. I was shopping for socks with Sandy (from Spongebob Squarepants)and I needed to find the magic sock following clues. The 1st clue was - go to Vegas Casino. There I found my 1st clue it said "Follow the Yellow Brick Road" but since I didn't know where to find the Yellow Brick road so I gave up but YOda appeared and said "Give up you must not" Then I woke up.

THE BACKGROUND:I had this dream after watching The Wizard of Oz - ut I don't know where the socks came from.

Well dreams often compare one thing to another. So in a way he "wizard of oz" is a bit like "Spongbob Squarepants". They both inspire you and tap into similar emotions. So the dream is partly about the emotions that you feel and enjoy whilst watching the wizard of oz.

However, the dream also brings in Vegas casino's. So in a way the dream is saying "You could get that wizard of Oz feeling if you went to a casino."

But the dream also hints at a warning. Do not go to the casino - it maybe exciting but just don't go there - for obvious reasons

DREAM INTERPRETATION PROGRAM: When you post a dream a list of symbols will appear here. They will help you work out what has caused your dream. The following dream symbols all appear in THIS DREAM.

YELLING: Dreams are metaphors so what do you think yelling could symbiolize in your own emotions. If we speak in a brutal and honest way its almost the same as yelling. It shows we do not care about trying to hide unpleasant truths. Conversely yelling may show that you want to say something and be brutally honest but cannot because of rules or you are just trying to be gentle with people. Yelling can symbolise other frustrations - it could be a metaphor for your attempts to make something clear. You could have explained something a million times yet the message still did not get through. Dreams may not necessarily be about you and so a yelling dream may represent your attempts to understand someones strength of feeling. Understanding other people and being able to get along with them is a vital part of being a human being. Effective communication and the ability to emphasise is something that we need to think about.
