THE DREAM The following are short summaries of dream which all contain 'expecting'. I have tried best to isolate the symbolic meaning of 'expecting' in each dream.

A dream where I am expected to take hold of a bridge linked to the dreamer thinking over a course that she had finished. She felt that the logical step would be to use the qualification that she had got. However, in many ways she lacked confidence. So she was not wanting to do what was expected of her.

A wave that is not as big as expected linked to the dreamer thinking about a possible backlash if he complained about a woman at work. He really feared her and was worried that she would try to get back at him. The expected size of the wave was symbolic of the expected backlash.

A dream where the dreamer is having sex (which was not expected) with his sister was linked to him having sexual feelings for a woman who wanted to be just friends.

A dream where the dreamer saves his ex girlfriend and she expected it to be a lifeguard was linked to his feelings about them. He felt that they were destined to be together and that they were soul mates. She just did not realise this. Expecting a lifeguard to have saved her symbolised her not really knowing her own feelings. She did not realise that they were so strong together.
