This dream dictionary uses a bank of hundreds of real dreams to show how dream symbols translate into real life thoughts and feelings.
THE DREAM - I dreamt that I was out with a married friend of mine (who is very reliable and genuine friend in real life but who have also expressed an interest in a relationship but I have refused) when we were attacked by some young boys who were planning to kill us. We both fought them off and I thought to myself wow I could have lost my life just like that. The dream changed to a market place where we were both walking and talking about how to cook a rice dish. He was asking me about the preparation of the dish but it appeared that he was an expert on cooking such a dish. I found myself stopping and looking inside a pot where I found cooked spoiled rice. I then found myself baking and eating a delicious two layer sweet cake coated with heavy chocolate topping simultaneously. It appeared as if I baked the cake and then it appeared that I didn't-this scene moved very fast. People, whom I recognized, started to enter the room as if some gathering or festive event was about to begin.Everyone who came up to the table expressed a desire to taste the delicious cake but I discouraged them and told them to wait until later even though I was quilty of breaking off pieces of the cake in small portions around the side at the base of the cake. (I jumped out of my sleep because my alarm went off).
GUESSWORK Just recently the dreamer had been dating a married man - something which went against the dreamers personal beliefs. His wife had found her number in his phone and called but he quickly defused the situation by lying to her. The dreamer had tried to break it off but found it difficult to resist his pleas. Deep inside the dreamer wants something more than a temporary fling.
The "Guesswork" stage of interpreting a dream involves spotting issues likely to cause dreams. For help with this

ASSOCIATIONS AND SYMBOLIC MEANINGS
1. The cake could easily be symbolic of the dreamers hypocrisy. In the dream she is telling others not to do something which she is doing herself. This mirrors a situation in real life as she continually feels that she is doing something wrong yet goes ahead and does it anyway.
2. The dream features a married man who the dreamer refused to have a relationship with. It could easily relate to any thought about a married man and relationships with married men. In fact it probably is specifically about the need to turn down relationships with married men.
DREAM ANALYSIS In guesswork the dream was linked to the the dreamers guilt about an affair with a married man. Its easy to see how the dream deals with the following themes:
- Relationships with married men
- Hypocrisy. Telling others not to do something then doing it yourself
If you weave together the different themes then you find that the dream could easily capture this following feeling - "I know I should not have a relationship with a married man. In fact I am a hypocrite. I could have easily been found out yesterday."
